Indonesian Green Beans
INGREDIENTS
1 lb green beans, snapped in half
1 package shimeji mushrooms (white beech, or similar), halved or uncut
3 large shallots
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 cup chicken stock
¼ cup rice wine
~2 tbsp soy sauce
1+ tbsp chili garlic sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp sesame + vegetable oil OR chili-garlic oil
DIRECTIONS
Heat oil in wok on high
Add mushroom and shallots and stir fry till crispy and mushrooms have good color
Add minced garlic, green beans, and soy sauce. Stir for ~3 min.
Add rice wine, vinegar, and chili garlic sauce. Stir until there is no liquid left in wok.
Add chicken stock and boil, stirring occasionally until fully reduced.
Serve with jasmine rice.
