Yaki Onigiri + π
INGREDIENTS
1 chicken breast, finely sliced π
Β½β ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced π§
4 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 green onion, thinly sliced
4 cups short grain rice, cooked π
1 tbsp mirin
sesame-vegetable oil mix
soy sauce (sweet or regular)
DIRECTIONS
Marinate chicken for 4 hours in all but green onion
Remove from marinade and sear on high heat
Reintroduce marinade to pan, add green onion, and boil down to coat chicken
Sprinkle cooked rice with mirin and fluff to combine
Oil hands, grab rice, put 1 tbsp chicken filling in the middle, and form triangle around it (instructions here)
Heat sesame-vegetable oil on medium high
Brush both sides of triangle with soy sauce and pan fry till crispy and golden
