Southern Fried Chicken π

MARINADE
2Β½ cup buttermilk
Β½ tsp hot sauce (Cholula)
1Β½ tsp garlic powder π§
Β½ tsp onion powder π§
Β½ tsp cayenne πΆ
1 tsp salt
ΒΌ tsp black pepper
INGREDIENTS
1 whole chicken, cut into sections π
3Β½ cup flour
2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp cayenne πΆ
2 eggs, beaten π₯
2Β½ cup buttermilk
Β½ tsp hot sauce (Cholula)
DIRECTIONS
Combine marinade ingredients, coat chicken thoroughly, and refrigerate overnight
Heat 2β peanut oil on medium high
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl for dredging chicken
Combine wet ingredients in a large bowl for coating chicken
Remove chicken from refrigerator (do not rinse marinade!) and dredge in flour mixture
Coat in wet ingredients then dredge a second time
Fry till golden brown
