Beef Stroganoff
INGREDIENTS
2–3 lb round steak, cubed 🥩
2 tbsp olive oil
salt, to taste
6oz sliced mushrooms 🍄
1 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp sherry
6 oz sour cream
1 onion, finely chopped 🧅
1 tbsp olive oil
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 oz tomato paste
2 tsp soy sauce
6 dashes Tabasco sauce
2 bay leaves
2 tsp thyme
1 tsp curry powder
DIRECTIONS
Heat olive oil on high and sear meat on all sides, salting as it sears
Add mushrooms and onion powder, cooking till mushrooms caramelize (add oil as needed)
Add sherry and deglaze
Reduce heat to medium, add sour cream, and cook 10 min.
In separate pan, heat olive oil on medium high and caramelize onion
Add remaining ingredients and cook for 10 min.
Add to meat mixture and stir to combine; simmer 10 min.
Serve with egg noodles
