Uncle Sam’s Brisket 🐄

INGREDIENTS
3 lb brisket 🥩
1 large onion, sliced into thin rings 🧅
4 tbsp butter 🧈
Garlic salt
Fresh ground pepper
DIRECTIONS
NIGHT BEFORE: Heavily coat brisket in garlic salt and pepper, rubbing into meat. Wrap and let stand overnight in the refrigerator (or around 2 hours at room temp).
Set oven to 275º
Heat large, lidded (oven-safe) pan or Dutch oven on medium high and melt better
Sauté several onion rings to flavor butter
Turn heat to high and sear meat on all sides
Remove from heat, top with remaining onion rings, place lid on pan
Bake for 4 hours
Rest at least one hour before slicing
