Vinegar Slaw

Adapted from Deep South Dish

INGREDIENTS

1 (1 pound) bag of tri-color coleslaw mix
1 vidalia (or other sweet onion), chopped

3/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

DIRECTIONS

  • Combine coleslaw mix and chopped onion

  • Bring dressing ingredients to a boil

  • Pour over the coleslaw mix 1/3 at a time, stirring in between

  • Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours
